District 12 Info

Autumn Days! Summer is fast approaching, warm weather is on it?s way. Gas prices are still on the rise!! Now is the time to make your reservations for the Annual Bus Trip to Autumn Days on September 20. We do not have a firm price as yet, but $20-$25 per person looks like the fare. Call Bill Davis, PM @ 825-3765 (home) or 574-9839 (cell) to make sure you will have a seat on the bus. This is a great day for anyone that has not been to Autumn Days. Great food and fun, and you get to see our own Masonic Village at Elizabethtown.

Wyoming Lodge #468 is sponsoring the 6th Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, August 1, 2008 at Mill Race Golf Course. It is a Captain and Crew Shot Gun start at 12 PM. Deadline for reservations is July 15th. See your Lodge Secretary for further information.

Keep in mind the 2008 Amnesty Program. Let?s bring former members back. It?s a simple process!!!

The Widows Club of the 12th District will hold a luncheon on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the Luzerne United Methodist Church starting at noon.
All Lodge members are invited to attend with a $5.00 donation for your lunch. RESERVATIONS ARE A MUST. See Joe Koonrad and call him at 288-0472 to make your reservation. Your reservation is confirmed with your $5.00 payment.

A reminder to the Wardens that their meeting is on June 25, 2008 at King David Lodge Hall starting at 7PM. I expect to see all Wardens at this meeting. Call me if you cannot make it. Everyone had sufficient notice of this meeting.

Brother William D. Hartman, Grand Chaplain, will be hosting a meeting of the Pennsylvania Lodge of Research at Caldwell Consistory in Bloomsburg on Saturday, September 6 starting at 10 AM.
He promises the meeting will end at 12 noon with a light lunch. Hope to see many of the members of the 12th District there!!!

The Grand Lodge will hold a Special Communication for the purpose of laying the date stone for the Clubhouse at Irem Shrine Center. The start time is 5 PM on Friday, July 25, 2008.

The School of Instruction will be in operation ALL summer. Thursdays and Saturdays. November 1, 2008 is the deadline for qualifying for the elected Officers for 2009. NOT QUALIFIED - NO CHAIR!!

Don't Forget CHANGE FOR THE TROOPS. This is a great project the Grand Lodge has undertaken. If anyone has someone that you would like to receive a card, get the information to me.
